The Reidville Revitalization Project is a strategic project to create a healthier, happier, and more prosperous community for the Town of Reidville all while balancing the need for change.
Revitalization Goals:
* Revitalize 300 College Street with a community space and create economic opportunities
* Revitalize the Reidville downtown area
* Infrastructure Improvements to improve transportation
On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Town Council voted unanimously to accept Concept 1.1 of the master plan for the Reidville Revitalization Project. This marks an exciting milestone for our community as we move closer to shaping the future of our downtown.
The Town is enthusiastic about what lies ahead and will spend much of 2026 working to secure the necessary funding for our portion of the project. As part of the revitalization effort, certain parcels within the project area will be prepared and offered for sale to developers or businesses interested in building and contributing to the long‑term vision for downtown Reidville.
The Revitalization Plan is designed as a phased project, which means the Town will not be paying for everything at once. Instead, funding will come from a combination of sources over time. The Town intends to cover its portion through grant funding, the sale of select Town‑owned parcels, phased implementation, partnerships, and private investment, and, if needed, the consideration of bonds.
We kindly ask our residents for patience as this process moves forward. The revitalization includes multiple phases, each requiring careful planning, coordination, and investment. Your support and understanding are essential as we work to bring this transformative project to life.
